President, HG Landscape Plus

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Debbie Neese of Offshoot Virtual Landscape Services, LLC. She came to my home, and listened to my thoughts and considered all aspects of my property. The plan she delivered was perfect! Not only did she consider the light and terrain conditions, she filled my request for native plants. And to top it off, the color scheme will be evident year-round because of her plant selections. Debbie is easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. To say I was impressed is an understatement. I recommend her highly!

Debbie did an amazing job! Her creativity and visual of our landscaping project brought to life everything we had dreamed. My husband and I were having a hard time visualizing the layout of our garden project. Debbie was recommended to us to draw out, as well as create a Pinterest board for our gardens. She was unbelievably prompt. She composed not only a Pinterest board, a video explaining it, and of course the physical drawing itself. All of which gave us exactly what we were looking for to understand and appreciate what we would be creating moving forward. You can tell she puts a lot of effort and creativity and heart into what she’s doing and definitely explains the concepts of gardening and different stages of different plants for those who, like us, are just getting started for the first time. Her quality of work is simply amazing and magical and the price does not break the bank. If we ever do anything with our backyard, we will likely use her again and would recommend her to anybody who is working on projects like this.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be present for the consultation?

For the initial consultation, yes! I want to get to know you and your preferences, favorite time of year, color schemes and personality.

How long does the design process take?

Typically, from the initial consultation to the final design presentation, it takes 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of your project and our current schedule.

Can you help with installation, or just design?

We focus on creating detailed landscape design plans. Your design package includes everything a contractor needs to install your landscape, and we can provide guidance on working with local installers. If you are a DIYer, we can help you place the plants and teach you the best practices on planting and what soil amendments to use. We can also create a maintenance chore chart for each month, providing gardeners with a customized reminder of what to do and when, tailored to your specific garden.

What if I want to make changes to the design?

We work with you during the presentation to ensure you love the design. We can talk about minor adjustments, and we want you to be completely satisfied with your landscape plan.

How do I know the plants will actually grow in my yard?

We carefully assess your property’s sun exposure, soil conditions, and microclimates. Every plant we recommend is proven to thrive in Western North Carolina and specifically suited to your site conditions.
